Celebrate the generations of Pirates that make ECU feel like home.

The ECU Alumni Legacy Celebration is a Family Weekend tradition that honors the special bond shared by Pirate families. During the evening’s Legacy Pinning Ceremony, ECU alumni proudly present a Legacy pin to their student, symbolizing the connection between generations and welcoming the next chapter of your family’s Pirate story.

Event Details
Date: Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, 6:00 p.m.
Attire: Casual (Purple and Gold encouraged!)

The celebration includes a buffet dinner, a special pinning ceremony and opportunities to capture the moment with family photos. Alumni are also invited to submit a favorite photo from their own time at ECU to be featured in a nostalgic slideshow celebrating generations of Pirate pride.

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent or sibling, this is a chance to reflect on the memories you’ve made at ECU while celebrating the memories your student has yet to create—a timeless passing of the torch that keeps Pirate traditions alive for generations to come.
