University Advancement’s Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) team has developed this one-stop-shop for your corporate and foundation fundraising needs. Here, you can access the Research Request Form, links and other information to more efficiently and effectively identify, qualify, solicit and steward organizations that provide philanthropic support to ECU.

The process of identifying potential private funders begins with the completion of the research request form. The Research Request form is designed to assist in creating a description of your project needs, goals and objectives. You must also attach a brief estimated budget with information related to the resources necessary to proceed with the project, if funded. Lastly, the department associate dean for research’s signature is required. When you have completed the research request form, please email it to the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations. A CFR representative will contact you for additional details if needed and begin a search for potential funders.

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations provides comprehensive resources for university faculty and staff. By fostering and supporting multi-faceted and mutually beneficial relationships, the CFR team can help you diversify funding sources and build strong relationships that enhance your work.

CFR provides the following services and assistance:

• Strategy Development—Assist faculty, and senior university officials in formulating effective approaches to funders.
• Facilitating Collaboration—Convene groups of representatives from across the university to discuss projects and institutional prospects.
• Prospect Research/Training—Develop lists and profiles of appropriate prospects for projects at ECU, as well as train development and other faculty and staff to do their own independent research on funders.
• Proposal Development—Work with faculty and senior university leadership to develop proposals that will particularly suit expressed foundation interests.
