More than 9,000 undergraduate students at ECU demonstrate financial need — the highest in the University of North Carolina system. We believe every student in need of a scholarship, whether need- or merit- based, should be given the opportunity to better their future at ECU.
Access Scholarships
Since the program began in 2006, it has provided scholarships to over 378 students and awarded more than $7.5 million to ECU students.

Scholarships awarded by staff senate support students
ECU’s Staff Senate recently awarded scholarships totaling $7,000 to 10 students. The ECU Staff Senate raises funds for the annual scholarships throughout the year by hosting an online auction, partnering with local restaurants and accepting gifts during Pirate Nation Gives and other opportunities.
